Dear Parents and Caregivers

This is our second last newsletter for the year. The end of the school year is on Thursday 7 December and concludes with our Prizegiving in the evening. It would be wonderful to have a strong whanau presence to celebrate our students’ achievement. Letters will soon be sent to all students receiving certificates and prizes at our evening ceremony.

We have been really pleased with the Year 11, 12, and 13 students who have been coming in to complete unfinished work over the last two weeks to maximize their credit count, and to ensure that they gain the appropriate NCEA certificate if at all possible. A greater sense of urgency earlier in the year would have been preferable but the old saying, “Better late than never”, certainly applies.

Please encourage your sons and daughters to finish their school year off strongly. Attendance and correct uniform remain important factors at this time.

The consumption of energy drinks and carbonated sugary drinks (fizzy) will be prohibited during school hours on the school site next year. Two new water dispensers have been installed in the school grounds this year and water bottles have been distributed to most students.
